Cansolair Solar Panels deliver more heat to your home

Wondering how the Cansolair panel from Northeast Solair produces such even, comfortable heat for your home?  It is a forced convection solar heating unit, which means it uses air heated by the sun to warm your home.  Here’s how it works:

  • There is an electric fan on the bottom of the panel that circulates air.
  • The fan draws cool air out of your house and up to the panel’s core, which consists of 240 aluminum tubes behind a powerful Lexan lens.
  • The lens allows the tubes to collect sunlight, which heats up the cool air.
The Cansolair Solar Max 240 Consists of a four by seven feet solar collector. The columns of the Solar Max 240 are cylindrical in shape, allowing the Solar Max 240  to receive solar radiation for a longer period of time  due to the angle of incidence of the sun hitting the panel.

The Solar Max 240 has a quick response rate of 8 minutes from the appearance of sun to "Cut-in" based on 100 degree F output temperature.   A South facing wall is all you need to start saving money this winter!

Technology:

Cansolair Inc. has developed a forced convection solar heating unit called the Model RA 240 SOLAR MAX.  A dwelling of 1000 square feet can have a complete air change in 1.5 hours. Working experience indicates that comfortable room temperature can be maintained in a 1000 square foot dwelling with 15 minutes of sunlight per hour.

One or more modules can be vertically or horizontally mounted on any South-East, South, or South-West-facing wall or roof that is free from significant shadow.

Each fully automatic, thermostatically controlled module can maintain average room temperature in about eight thousand cubic feet of residential or commercial space.

Our solar panels are designed to be completely independent of, but complimentary to your existing heating system, no matter how large or what type may currently be in your home or building.
